The Vizcaya Bridge, also known as the Hanging Bridge or Puente Colgante, is the world’s oldest shuttle or transporter bridge, dating back to 1893. Located in the Basque Country of Spain, it was designed by architect Alberto de Palacio, who trained under Gustave Eiffel. Constructed with iron and steel, the bridge continues to serve both cars and pedestrians.
