North Macedonia

Nestled in the heart of the Balkans, North Macedonia is a landlocked country bordered by Kosovo to the northwest, Serbia to the north, Bulgaria to the east, Greece to the south, and Albania to the west. The landscape is a mix of rugged mountains, including the imposing Mount Korab, and fertile valleys, with the Vardar River cutting through the center. Its history stretches back to ancient times, with influences from Roman, Byzantine, and Ottoman empires. Today, visitors can explore the capital, Skopje, known for its eclectic architecture and vibrant bazaars, or venture into the scenic Lake Ohrid region, where traditional villages and monasteries dot the shores of the deep, clear waters.
