Vancouver Olympic Cauldron

A symbol of one of Vancouver’s proudest moments, the Vancouver Olympic Cauldron was first lit during the opening ceremony of the 2010 Winter Olympics. Standing at an impressive 33 feet (10 meters) tall, the cauldron features four glass and steel arms that reach skyward. Located in a prominent spot, it now serves as a popular photo opportunity for visitors, even though it is no longer regularly lit. The structure’s modern design and historical significance make it a notable landmark in the city.
