Nestled within the Kom al Dikka archaeological site, Alexandria’s Roman Amphitheatre stands as a testament to the city’s rich history. Constructed in the second century AD, this amphitheater features 13 tiers of white-marble seating, capable of accommodating 800 citizens. As the only known Roman theater in Egypt, it served multiple purposes, hosting not only dramatic performances but also political demonstrations and wrestling matches. Today, visitors can explore the well-preserved structure and imagine the vibrant events that once took place within its walls.
