La Campana National Park (Parque Nacional La Campana)

La Campana National Park, a UNESCO-listed biosphere reserve in Chile near Santiago, spans over 17,000 acres and is home to some of the last remaining Chilean Wine Palm trees. The park’s landscape includes settlement ruins and a network of hiking trails, one of which leads to the top of the scenic hill that gave the park its name. Charles Darwin explored this trail in 1834, adding to the park’s historical significance. Today, visitors can follow in Darwin’s footsteps, hike through the diverse terrain, and observe the unique flora and fauna that thrive in this protected area.
