Kent & East Sussex Railway

Opened in 1900 as England’s first light railway, the Kent and East Sussex Railway now runs a 10.5-mile (17-kilometer) route between Tenterden and Bodiam. This historic railway offers rides on 20th-century steam and heritage diesel trains, providing a traditional way to experience the English countryside. Passengers can enjoy views of the Rother Valley and Wittersham, immersing themselves in the scenic landscapes that have remained largely unchanged for over a century.
