Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon

Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon

Perched on the edge of Vatnajökull, Europe’s largest glacier, and separated from the Atlantic Ocean by a narrow isthmus, Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon is a striking natural wonder. Framed by jagged peaks and rugged lava fields, the lagoon is filled with glittering, milky-white icebergs that have calved from the glacier. These icebergs float in ice-blue water, slowly drifting toward the open sea. Visitors can witness this dynamic landscape, where the interplay of light and ice creates a constantly changing scene.
