Hai Van Pass (Deo Hai Van)

Winding over a mountainous stretch of highway just north of Da Nang, the Hai Van Pass (Đèo Hải Vân—literally “Sea Cloud Pass”) offers one of Vietnam’s most scenic coastal routes. This road twists and turns over a spur of the Truong Son mountain range, reaching heights of up to 1,627 feet (495 meters). From these elevations, visitors can enjoy expansive views of the sea, with the landscape unfolding in a series of dramatic curves and vistas. The pass is not only a vital transportation link but also a popular destination for those seeking breathtaking natural beauty.
