Palazzi dei Rolli

Genoa’s Palazzi dei Rolli, a collection of 42 residences constructed between the 16th and 18th centuries, were listed on the city’s official register. These palaces played a unique role in Genoa’s history, as they were selected by lottery to host notable guests during state visits. Today, these grand structures, part of a larger group of 163 homes, stand as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visitors can explore their ornate interiors and learn about the historical significance of these architectural gems, which continue to reflect the opulence and cultural richness of Renaissance Genoa.
