Unveiled in 2004, Cloud Gate, affectionately known as ‘The Bean,’ stands in the heart of Millennium Park, quickly becoming one of Chicago’s most recognizable landmarks. This futuristic sculpture, crafted from smooth, stainless steel, reflects and distorts the surrounding cityscape and visitors, creating a surreal, almost dreamlike effect. Visitors can walk beneath the curved underside, where the gleaming threshold serves as a symbolic entrance to the park. Today, it continues to draw crowds, offering a unique and interactive experience that invites both reflection and photography.
