Barboursville Vineyards

Barboursville Vineyards, a landmark Virginia winery with a distinctly European sensibility, was established nearly half a century ago. Nestled on a 900-acre (364-hectare) site that once belonged to former Virginia governor James Barbour, the vineyard produces a range of top-rated red, white, sparkling, and dessert wines. Visitors can explore the tasting rooms and the evocative ruins of Barbour’s estate, which was designed by Thomas Jefferson. The vineyard offers a blend of history and modern winemaking, inviting guests to savor its offerings in a setting rich with heritage.
