Areopagus

Nestled between the Acropolis and the Agora of Athens, the Areopagus is a low, rocky hill with a rich historical background. This site once hosted a council that conducted trials, and it was here that St. Paul delivered a famous missionary sermon. Today, visitors are drawn to the Areopagus for its panoramic views of Athens and the Acropolis, especially during the golden hours of sunrise and sunset when the cityscape is bathed in a warm, ethereal light.
