Raj Ghat

Raj Ghat, located in New Delhi, India, is a large outdoor complex that serves as the memorial site of Mahatma Gandhi, who was cremated here in 1948. The cremation spot is marked by a simple yet poignant black marble platform, with an eternal flame burning in his honor. The words ‘Hey Ram’ are inscribed on the side of the memorial, believed to be Gandhi’s last utterance. Visitors can walk through the tranquil gardens and pay their respects at this significant historical site, which offers a reflective and serene atmosphere.
