Situated in Ethiopia’s Rift Valley, a few hours’ drive south of Addis Ababa, Abijatta-Shalla National Park encompasses two lakes, Abijatta and Shalla. This expansive park is a haven for wildlife, particularly birds. Visitors can observe a variety of species, including ostriches, pelicans, flamingos, and storks. The occasional monkey also adds to the park’s lively atmosphere. The landscape, with its lakes and surrounding terrain, offers a serene and natural setting for birdwatching and wildlife observation.
