Built in 1946 following the conclusion of World War II, Kranji War Memorial stands as a poignant tribute to the Singaporean and allied soldiers who fought and died defending Malaysia and Singapore from Japanese forces. Located in Singapore, the site features a cemetery with over 4,400 headstones, each marking the final resting place of a fallen soldier. Adjacent to the cemetery, a memorial lists the names of an additional 24,000 servicemen. Visitors can walk through the rows of neatly arranged headstones, reflecting on the sacrifice and bravery of those who gave their lives.
