Tombs of the Kings

Dating back to the third century BC, the Tombs of the Kings are a series of eight excavated tombs located along the southwestern coast of Cyprus in Paphos. These grand structures, once the final resting places for around 100 Ptolemaic aristocrats, showcase the architectural and cultural significance of the era. Though the tombs were originally filled with jewels and personal effects, these treasures have long since been removed by grave robbers. Today, visitors can explore the intricate, subterranean chambers and gain insight into the burial practices and historical context of this ancient civilization.
