Haw Par Villa, located along Pasir Panjang Road in Singapore, is a mythological theme park that opened in 1937. Built by the Aw family, creators of Tiger Balm, it was originally named Tiger Balm Garden and designed to teach traditional Chinese values. The park features over 1,000 statues and 150 dioramas, illustrating scenes from Chinese mythology and various religions. As Singapore modernized, Haw Par Villa evolved into a popular attraction for curious tourists. Visitors today can explore its intricate and colorful displays, immersing themselves in the rich tapestry of Chinese culture and folklore.
