Vermilionville

Vermilionville, situated along Bayou Vermilion in Lafayette, USA, is a living history museum that recreates a 19th-century village. The 23-acre site features seven restored original homes nestled among mature trees and gardens. Costumed educators bring to life the traditions of Cajun, Native American, Acadian, and African American cultures. Visitors can watch artisans demonstrate historic crafts and, on select weekends, enjoy live zydeco, Cajun, and Creole music performances included with admission. This immersive experience offers a glimpse into the rich cultural heritage of the region.
