Mt. Aksla

Rising to a modest height of 590 feet (180 meters) above sea level, Mt. Aksla stands as Alesund’s own urban mountain, located just east of the town. Despite its more hill-like stature, it is the most frequented scenic viewpoint in the area. Visitors can hike to the summit, where they are rewarded with panoramic views of Alesund, the surrounding islands, and the distant Sunnmøre Alps.
