The Fountain of Trajan, one of Ephesus’ most significant fountains, stands on Curetes Street in Selçuk, Turkey. Constructed between 102 and 114 AD to honor Emperor Trajan, this impressive structure once towered over 30 feet (9.5 meters) high. It was adorned with about 15 statues, including a grand sculpture of Trajan himself, though only the base and a single foot of this statue remain. Visitors today can still appreciate the architectural grandeur and historical significance of this ancient nymphaeum, imagining the splendor it once held.
