Kea Point Track

The Kea Point Track, a 3.7-mile (6-kilometer) round-trip hike, begins in Mount Cook Village and meanders through native bush and subalpine grasslands. As hikers ascend, they are rewarded with scenic viewpoints that offer panoramic vistas stretching from Mount Sefton to the Hooker Valley. The trail also provides a close-up view of the Mueller Glacier moraine wall. The highlight, however, is the majestic 12,218-foot (3,724-meter) Mount Cook (Aoraki), which dominates the landscape. Today, visitors can enjoy a gentle climb and immerse themselves in the natural beauty of the region.
