Housed in the historic Treasury Building, where the proclamation of the Australian Commonwealth was read from one of its balconies in 1901, Treasury Casino stands as the glitzy heart of Brisbane’s gambling and nightlife. As the only casino in Queensland’s capital, it draws visitors to its game room, filled with the sounds of poker, roulette, craps, and slot machines. Beyond the excitement of the gaming floor, the venue offers five restaurants, seven bars, and a nightclub, along with the adjoining Treasury Hotel, which caters to high rollers. Since opening in 1995, this glamorous hub has been a central attraction, and while plans for a move to a modern venue are in the works, the historic building continues to draw crowds.
