Tnorala (Gosse Bluff) Conservation Reserve, located near Alice Springs, is a striking testament to the Earth’s ancient history. Formed about 140 million years ago when a comet or asteroid struck the ground, the reserve features an almost perfectly circular crater measuring 3 miles (5 kilometers) in diameter. Surrounded by towering 650-foot (200-meter) rock walls, the site offers a dramatic and awe-inspiring landscape.
