Largo di Torre Argentina

Nestled near the Pantheon, Largo di Torre Argentina is a bustling square and one of Rome’s most significant archaeological sites. The Sacred Area here reveals the remains of four temples, some dating back to the 4th century BC. This site once hosted Senate sessions, but it is perhaps best known for its role in a pivotal moment in history: on the Ides of March in 44 BC, Julius Caesar was assassinated here.
