Qutub Minar

The UNESCO World Heritage–listed Qutub Minar, a towering red brick minaret, was built in 1193 by the Muslim conquerors of Delhi. Standing at an impressive 240 feet (73 meters) high, it showcases the engineering prowess of its time. While its origins are well-documented, the exact purpose of the minaret remains a subject of debate; it may have served as a victory tower or a place for an Islamic muezzin to call the faithful to prayer. Today, visitors can marvel at its intricate carvings and the surrounding historical structures, making it one of Delhi’s most visited tourist attractions.
