Roque del Moro

Roque del Moro

Rising vertically from a rugged beach near Fuerteventura’s southern tip, Roque del Moro is named after the monolithic rock that soars 165 feet (50 meters) above the red-tinged sand. This striking formation is part of the Parque Natural de Jandía, a protected area that showcases the island’s wild and volcanic landscapes. Visitors can explore the sandy stretch, which offers a vivid contrast between the stark, towering rock and the soft, colorful sand, providing a unique glimpse into the natural beauty and geological history of Fuerteventura.
