Woolmers Estate, located outside the town of Longford in Tasmania, is an early 19th-century pioneer farm that has been passed down through six generations of the Archer family. Spanning 32 acres (13 hectares), the estate was designated an Australian Convict Site in 2010. Visitors can explore a range of preserved buildings, including a blacksmith’s shop, stable, and bakehouse, which offer a tangible glimpse into the convict consignment system. The well-maintained structures and grounds provide a vivid sense of the estate’s historical significance and the daily life of its inhabitants.
