Volcanoes National Park, located in Rwanda near Kigali, is one of the last remaining sanctuaries for wild mountain gorillas and golden monkeys, along with its neighboring parks, Mgahinga and Virunga. Spanning over 60 square miles (160 square kilometers), the park features a lush tapestry of tropical flora, dense bamboo forests, and five distinct volcanoes. Visitors can explore this diverse landscape through regulated wildlife tours, offering a chance to observe these rare and fascinating creatures in their natural habitat.
