The Vasari Corridor, or Corridoio Vasariano, is a historic passageway in central Florence, designed by Giorgio Vasari in the 16th century for the Medici family. This elevated, covered walkway spans the Arno River, connecting the Palazzo Vecchio to the Pitti Palace. Originally, it allowed the Grand Dukes to move discreetly between their workplace and residence. Today, visitors can follow the same path, enjoying panoramic views of the city from the corridor’s windows, especially those overlooking the Ponte Vecchio.
