Vanua Levu

Once known as Sandalwood Island, Vanua Levu is the second-largest island in Fiji and a haven for those seeking adventure. This less touristy destination boasts impressive dive spots teeming with a spectacular variety of marine life, so much so that renowned oceanographer Jean-Michel Cousteau established a resort here. Visitors can explore the underwater world through snorkeling and diving, or venture inland for hiking. While not the best choice for lazy beach days, Vanua Levu offers a more active and immersive experience.
