Traditional Arts and Ethnology Centre

Nestled in the heart of Luang Prabang, the Traditional Arts and Ethnology Centre offers a glimpse into the lives of four of Laos’ main ethnic minority groups. The museum’s displays feature a rich array of traditional costumes, religious artifacts, and crafts, each with detailed signage in French, English, and Lao. Visitors can explore the cultural heritage and craftsmanship of these communities, gaining a deeper understanding of their traditions and daily lives. The on-site shop provides an opportunity to purchase ethical artisan souvenirs, supporting local artisans and continuing the legacy of these unique cultures.
