Tomb of Merneptah (Merenptah)

The Tomb of Merneptah, also known as KV8, is the final resting place of Pharaoh Merneptah, son of Ramesses II and Queen Isis-Nofret. Located in the Valley of the Kings in Luxor, Egypt, this tomb was rediscovered in 1902, a decade before the more famous tomb of King Tutankhamun. The site attracts fewer visitors compared to other major tombs in the valley, offering a quieter and more intimate experience. Inside, the walls are adorned with intricate hieroglyphics and scenes from ancient Egyptian mythology, providing a vivid glimpse into the beliefs and rituals of the time.
