Three Cities

The Three Cities, comprising Vittoriosa, Senglea, and Cospicua, sit across the Grand Harbour from Valletta, Malta. Enclosed by fortifications built by the Knights of St. John in the 16th century, these dockside neighborhoods served as the knights’ base from 1530 until the founding of Valletta in 1570.
