Third Street Promenade

A commercial fixture in Santa Monica since the 1960s, the Third Street Promenade is a three-block-long, car-free pedestrian mall stretching from Wilshire Boulevard to Broadway. Redesigned in 1989, this open-air space features a lively mix of shops, restaurants, and street performers. Just two blocks east of the bustling Santa Monica Pier, the promenade draws visitors with its vibrant atmosphere and diverse offerings, making it one of the most popular tourist destinations on LA’s Westside.
