Theresienwiese

Theresienwiese, often referred to as the Wiesn, is a vast 100-acre event area in central Munich, best known as the home of the Oktoberfest beer festival. Despite its name, which translates to ‘Theresa’s meadow,’ most of the original grass has been replaced over time. The area now features the prominent 60-foot-tall Bavaria statue, which stands as a central landmark. Today, visitors can experience the vibrant atmosphere of various events and festivals, with the Oktoberfest being the highlight, drawing millions of people each year to enjoy traditional Bavarian culture, food, and, of course, beer.
