The Met Cloisters

Nestled in Fort Tryon Park in Upper Manhattan, the Met Cloisters is a branch of the Metropolitan Museum of Art that transports visitors to medieval Europe. Constructed from the disassembled parts of several historical European monasteries, the museum’s architecture and ambiance evoke a bygone era. Inside, the collection features a range of medieval art and artifacts, with the world-renowned 15th-century Unicorn Tapestries as a highlight. Beyond the galleries, the museum also offers a large educational garden where visitors can engage in hands-on experiences, learning about the medieval uses for flowers and herbs.
