Tapgol Park

Formerly known as Pagoda Park, Tapgol Park in Seoul stands on the site of a former Buddhist temple and holds a significant place in Korean history. This small public gathering place was the starting point of the March 1 Movement in 1919, a pivotal event in Korea’s struggle for independence from Japanese rule. Today, visitors can explore the park and reflect on its historical importance, surrounded by the urban landscape of Seoul.
