Tallinn City Wall

Constructed in 1265, the Tallinn City Wall originally stood at 15 feet high and five feet thick, stretching for a mile and a half. This formidable defensive structure was later altered and reinforced in the 14th century. Today, visitors can explore the remaining sections of the masonry ramparts and 26 defense towers. Walking along the base, through passageways, and even atop some parts of the wall, travelers can experience the historical significance and architectural resilience of this medieval fortification.
