The Tall Ship James Craig, one of only four 19th-century barques capable of sailing the open ocean, has a rich history dating back to 1874. Located in Sydney, this iron ship is the city’s only 19th-century square rigger, featuring an impressive 21 sails. Its restoration, a monumental task that took nearly 40 years and A$30 million, brought it back to its former glory. Today, visitors can experience the ship’s grandeur and even join up to 80 other passengers for a sail on the high seas, immersing themselves in the maritime heritage of the past.
