Built in the 14th century, the twin stone Serranos Towers (Torres de Serranos) stand as one of only two remaining portions of Valencia’s original city walls. Originally serving as the main exit toward Barcelona and Northern Spain, these towers also functioned as prison cells and a triumphal arch. Today, they are believed to be the largest Gothic city gateway in Europe. Visitors can explore the historical structure, imagining the centuries of travelers and soldiers who once passed through its imposing archway.
