Established in 1964, the Sandakan Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre is dedicated to rehabilitating orphaned baby orangutans, victims of illegal logging and deforestation. Located near Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia, the center offers visitors a chance to observe these endangered animals in their natural habitat. During scheduled feeding times, you can watch the orangutans interact and forage, while the rehabilitation nursery provides a glimpse into the care and efforts to prepare them for release back into the wild.
