North of the outdoorsy town of Flagstaff, the San Francisco Peaks, or ‘The Peaks’ as locals call them, rise as a volcanic mountain range. These six summits are remnants of an ancient stratovolcano that once soared to 16,000 feet (4,877 meters). Today, adventurers flock here to ski, hike, and camp, while also enjoying the opportunity to view wildlife and rejuvenate in nature. The peaks offer a rugged, natural landscape that invites exploration and relaxation.
