Roman City of Pollentia

Founded in 123 BC, the Roman City of Pollentia on Mallorca is a testament to ancient Roman urban planning. The site comprises three partially excavated areas: La Portella, where visitors can explore the remains of three noble residences; the Forum, which once housed the Capitolino Temple dedicated to Roman gods; and the Theatre, with its preserved stage and seating area. Today, these ruins offer a glimpse into the daily life and cultural practices of the city’s former inhabitants, allowing visitors to walk through the foundations of history and imagine the vibrant community that once thrived here.
