Quiriguá, located in Guatemala, is a smaller but no less captivating Maya site compared to its more famous counterparts like Tikal and Copán. The site draws visitors with its impressive collection of large, intricately carved stelae, some standing as tall as 35 feet (10 meters). These towering monoliths are adorned with hieroglyphs that offer insights into the rise and fall of this ancient city.
