Pyramid of Tirana (Enver Hoxha Pyramid)

Constructed in 1988 to celebrate the legacy of Albanian communist leader Enver Hoxha, the Pyramid of Tirana stands as one of the city’s most distinctive buildings. Its angular, geometric structure once served multiple purposes, including a conference center, NATO base, and temporary exhibition space. After the fall of communism, the pyramid fell into disrepair and is currently in disuse. Visitors today can observe its imposing presence and the layers of history embedded in its decaying walls, offering a tangible link to Albania’s complex past.
