Penguin Island, also known as Isla Yecapasela, is a unique nature reserve located near Ushuaia, Argentina. It is the only place in continental Argentina where visitors can observe a penguin rookery, and it is the sole colony accessible from Ushuaia. The island, part of Estancia Harberton, offers a trail that winds through the habitat of approximately 3,000 pairs of Magellanic penguins, 16 pairs of gentoo penguins, and 155 pairs of rock cormorants. Today, visitors can walk this trail and experience the sights and sounds of these fascinating birds in their natural setting.
