Pangong Lake, also known as Pangong Tso, is a bright blue brackish lake situated at an elevation of 14,270 feet (4,350 meters) above sea level. Straddling the border between Ladakh, India, and Western Tibet, China, the lake is a notable destination for travelers, particularly those journeying from Leh, the capital of Ladakh. Despite its remote location, the lake has gained significant popularity, especially among Indian tourists, after it was featured in the 2009 Bollywood film 3 Idiots.
