Pacific Fleet Submarine Museum

Launched on December 7, 1942, exactly one year after the attack on Pearl Harbor, the USS Bowfin earned the nickname ‘Pearl Harbor Avenger’ for its role as a fleet attack submarine. Today, it is permanently docked at the Pacific Fleet Submarine Museum in Pearl Harbor, Oahu, where it stands as both a memorial and a National Historic Landmark. Visitors can explore the submarine’s interior, gaining insight into the cramped quarters and technical marvels that defined life aboard this historic vessel.
