Our Lady of the Rocks (Gospa od Skrpjela)

Our Lady of the Rocks, a 17th-century church, stands on one of two small islands in the Bay of Kotor, just off the coast of Perast. Surrounded by mountain peaks and cobalt blue waters, the church seems to float on the water’s surface. This serene setting has made it one of Montenegro’s most photographed landmarks. Visitors can explore the interior, which is adorned with intricate frescoes and a collection of baroque paintings, and learn about the island’s unique history, formed by centuries of seafarers depositing rocks and old shipwrecks.
