Nine Dynastic Urns

Part of Hue’s UNESCO-listed Imperial City, the Nine Dynastic Urns are bronze and elaborately decorated, each representing a different Nguyen emperor. These urns, adorned with classic Vietnamese motifs such as mountains, oceans, stars, and rivers, are housed within the Hien Lam Pavilion. The pavilion’s grand entrance, painted in terracotta and yolk-yellow, invites visitors to explore these historical artifacts. Today, visitors can admire the intricate craftsmanship and symbolic designs that reflect the rich cultural heritage of the Nguyen dynasty.
